Durga Week 5 | Story Time Restorative + Journal Prompts
Guided by a Goddess, a 6-Week Series

45m
Let’s get to know Durga the warrior goddess who is invoked for facing our ego, personal empowerment, all forms of strength, protection and fighting for justice. You’ll want one pillow and a blanket for this practice (if you aren't going this in bed where you'll have access to extra pillows just in case you may want some blocks/a pillow/ or a an blanket near by) . This is a myth about Durga coming to fight for the world. We reflect on why we wait till the late moment when things are bad and critical for us to ask for help. We yell for help in emergencies but it takes us getting to that point before we have the boldness in asking. Durga says why have you waited till it’s come to this but yes I’ll help you. Class is done lying down.
Journal Prompts

How do you channel Durga, act as the warrior + protector for others?
What mental patterns are keeping you from thriving? How can you let Durga dissolve them?
When do you reel your most powerful? Do you shy away from that feeling or crave it?
What are you capable of when you feel that way?
