I like to think of yoga as having one true goal... the ability to "be". That's it.
But while this simplifies everything (no you don't need to do handstands and meditate 30 minutes a day!) it is more complicated that it sounds. This practice is dedicated to the practice of "being" and is offered as a reprieve from the pressure we may be feeling to see change, create change, and realize a change in office or a change in our ways.
While I'd love to say this all will happen in due time - the reality is that isn't promised. And yet the work you've done is important and impactful -even if you simply dropped a ballot in a box. When the results don't match our desire, do we freak out? Do we give up? Or can we just be...
Being is surrender but it's not quitting. It actually brings us more inline with our inner essence and when we are aligned we "act". And the cycle continues. The work goes on. But it's not tied to an outcome - it's work simply because the work is "right" and it's what we are meant to do.
In this practice we'll explore "being" in an active practice and reinforce these ideas...so that, hopefully, we are able to shift our perspectives and take this ability to "be" forward into life.
